From her solid career in Rome on RAI TV, in theaters and as a “chanteuse” for the Roman jet set, she was invited to Rio de Janeiro for a brief tour where fate had it that she would soon become a consecrated recording artist and a nationwide personality there. Mafalda followed the call to the jazz scene through many USA tours with stops on the NYC club circuit and four albums for the US jazz market.

Mafalda returns to New York to inaugurate Reyna on the heels of her new album “RIOFONIC” that has shot to the top 10 of the national “JazzWeek” radio charts for an impressive 13 week period. 

 From festival stages and in theaters and clubs throughout the USA, Italy, France, Germany, S.America and even Bahrain, she has recorded with jazz luminaries David Liebman, Don Byron and Joe Locke to name a few and has sung with the legendary Milton Nascimento, Joao Bosco. Leny Andrade, Roberto Menescal and many others. 

In addition to a very Brazilian repertoire, Mafalda will visit some of the stops where her varied career has taken her. Italian cinema, French chanson, Neapolitan classics, a Bolero and of course American jazz, will all delivered in one exciting package of infectious arrangements and virtuosic improvisation in duo with her longtime producer and arranger Paul Ricci on guitar.
